Google Chrome Extensions

Google Chrome has support for a library of extensions (plugins) that are found at the Chrome Web Store.  The majority of the extensions are free. 

You can also typically right-click an extension's icon in the toolbar, if it has one, to remove it.

Google Apps

Google Apps run as a discrete application and can be found in Google Chrome on the Google Apps icon.  

Right click an app to:
  • Open as window
  • Options
  • Remove from Chrome...
  • App info
  • Create shortcuts...

Google Extensions

Google Extensions run from the top of the Google Chrome web browser bar and can be reviewed in Chrome > Settings > Extensions.

Removing Chrome Extensions 

Extensions can easily be disabled or removed them by 
  • Typing chrome://extensions/ into the Chrome address bar.    OR
  • In the Chrome browser
    1. Customize and Control Google Chrome (icon on the top right of Chrome)

  • Adblock Plus - to block annoying adds, malware, and tracking

  • Mini Lock - Chrome extension file encryption software
  • Password Alert - help protect against phishing attacks.If you enter your Gmail or Google for Work password into anywhere other than accounts.google.com, you’ll receive an alert, so you can change your password if needed. Password Alert also tries to detect fake Google sign-in pages to alert you before you’ve typed in your password. To do so, Password Alert checks the HTML of each page you visit to see if it’s impersonating a Google sign-in page.
