Display Resolution

The display resolution or display modes of a digital television, computer monitor or display other device is the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed.

  • Ultra high definition (UHD or 4K/8K) is a display resolution standard of at least 3840 by 2160 pixels (8.3 megapixels; 4K), double Full HD's
  • Full HD's 1920 by 1080 (2 megapixels). 3840 by 2160 is only the floor value and resolutions being put on various screens range from this size up to 4096 by 3112 for 4K and up to 7680 by 4320 (33.2 megapixels) for 8K.
